LEGAL

License Agreement (EULA)

The End User License Agreement for Beetle Video Editor.

Grant of license

mooned.dev grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Beetle Video Editor on machines you own or are authorized to use, for personal or commercial video editing work.

Permitted uses

  • Edit commercial video, freelance video, YouTube, broadcast, film, or any other content
  • Install on multiple machines under one license
  • Use for client work and bill your clients normally
  • Run the sharing network to earn tokens (opt-in)

Prohibited uses

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the executable (except as permitted by law)
  • Resell or sublicense the software
  • Modify and redistribute the executable
  • Use the sharing network to process jobs that aren't from the Beetle orchestrator

Open-source components

Beetle uses several open-source libraries (FFmpeg, OpenFX, Qt, OpenColorIO, and others). Those components are governed by their respective open-source licenses, not this EULA. A complete list with license texts ships with every release.

Updates

Updates are provided free of charge. Auto-update is enabled by default but can be disabled in Settings → Updates. Disabling updates means you won't receive bug fixes or security patches automatically.

Termination

This license terminates automatically if you breach any of these terms. Upon termination you must uninstall the software and destroy all copies. Earned tokens and purchased tokens expire on termination; the free monthly grant is forfeited.

Disclaimer

The software is provided "as is" without warranty. mooned.dev is not liable for any damages arising from use of the software, including but not limited to loss of data, project files, or hardware damage.

Governing law

Singapore law. Disputes are resolved in Singapore courts.
